Welcome
Xscorch is a clone of the classic DOS game, "Scorched Earth". The basic goal is to annihilate enemy tanks using overpowered guns. :) Basically, you buy weapons, you target the enemy by adjusting the angle of your turret and firing power, and you hope to destroy their tank before they destroy yours.

- Xscorch 0.2.1-pre1 has been released. The primary change in this release is to require a modern GTK (2.12 is ideal). GTK 1 is no longer supported by xscorch. Some minor GUI features may not work yet in GTK 2. This release also rolls in bug fixes since 0.2.0.
- We need music and sound effects! Trust us, you don't want to see what we would come up with on our own. If you are interested in helping out, please contact us! (our e-mails are in the README file distributed with the package).
